Carafate can be a gastric protective. It works by forming a protective layer about the ulcer to serve like a barrier against acid, bile salts, and enzymes inside stomach.

STORAGE
Store Carafate at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees (20 and 25 degrees C). Store from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store within the bathroom. Keep Carafate from the reach of children and away from pets.
