Cardura is used for treating high blood pressure levels and treating indications of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Cardura can be an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing muscles inside veins, resulting in cut in blood pressure levels. In men with BPH, alpha-blockers work by relaxing muscles across the urethra (the tube that drains urine in the bladder), which improves urinary symptoms.
