Clonidine is used to help remedy hypertension (high blood pressure). It is sometimes used together with other blood pressure levels medications. Clonidine lowers blood pressure levels by lowering the amounts of certain chemicals inside your blood. This allows your blood vessels to wind down plus your heart to beat slower and easily.
