Diovan is used for treating blood pressure alone or with medicines. It is used to treat heart failure. It is used in certain patients to decrease the potential risk of death from a heart attack. Diovan is definitely an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by relaxing the blood vessels. This helps to reduce hypertension.

Store Diovan at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store faraway from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store within the bathroom. Keep Diovan from the reach of children and far from pets.

Diarrhea; dizziness; headache; joint or lumbar pain; mild flu-like symptoms; stomach pain; tiredness.

Severe allergies (rash; hives; itching; breathlessness; tightness within the chest; swelling from the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); blurred vision; change within the amount of urine produced; chest pain; dark urine; difficulty swallowing; fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat; fainting; muscle pain or cramps; severe or persistent stomach pain (with or without nausea or vomiting); signs and symptoms of low blood pressure level (eg, fainting, lightheadedness, severe dizziness); unusual bruising or bleeding; yellowing in the eyes or skin.
